NWKTaxi ("NWK Taxi," "we," "us," or "our") provides the NWK Taxi ride-hailing mobile application and related websites and services (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account information: your name, phone number, email address, and (optionally) a profile photo when you create an account.
• Payment information: when you add a payment card, your card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (Network Merchants, Inc. - "NMI"). We do not store your full card number on our servers; we retain only limited details such as the card type and the last four digits so you can identify your saved cards.
• Communications: information you provide when you contact support or rate a trip.

Information collected automatically

• Location information: with your permission, we collect your device's approximate and precise location to show nearby drivers, set your pickup point, match you with a driver, provide navigation, and enable live trip tracking. We collect location while you are using the app.
• Trip & transaction information: pickup and drop-off locations, ride history, fares, tips, ratings, and receipts.
• Device information: device and push-notification identifiers, app version, and general device details used to deliver notifications and operate the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create, manage, and secure your account.
• Match you with nearby drivers and facilitate your rides.
• Provide live driver tracking, maps, and navigation.
• Calculate fares and process payments.
• Send ride updates, one-time verification codes, and receipts (by push notification and email).
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Maintain safety, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party or cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• With drivers and riders: when you request and take a trip, we share your name, pickup/drop-off, and live location with the matched driver so they can complete your ride (and share driver details with you).
• Service providers that process data on our behalf and only for us, including: Network Merchants, Inc. (NMI) for payment processing; Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging & Google Maps) for push notifications and mapping/navigation; and our email/SMS provider for sending receipts and one-time verification codes.
• Legal & safety: when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of NWK Taxi, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Location Information

Location is essential to the Service. We use it to match you with drivers, set your pickup, provide navigation, and share your live location with your driver during a trip. You can control location permissions in your device settings, but disabling location will prevent core features such as booking a ride.

6. Payments

Card payments are processed securely by NMI, our third-party payment processor. Your card data is transmitted to NMI over an encrypted connection. We store only limited, non-sensitive details needed to display and manage your saved payment methods. Cash payment is also available where offered.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, for tax, accounting, or legal reasons).

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain communications.

Account & data deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time at https://nwktaxi.com/delete-account, or by emailing support@nwktaxi.com.

California residents: Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10. Children's Privacy

NWK Taxi is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Services & Links

The Service uses third-party services (such as Google Maps) and may link to third-party sites. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app.
